Warning: Our app is made for devices running on stock Android OS. While the application may run on Android based mods such as Cyanogen or Oxygen OS, we may not be able to review or fix specific system related issues.
Warning: Please make sure that the app is not saved on a SD card and it is saved directly to the phone instead, as saving it to the SD card will create issues with the App.
When you first sign up you can do so with your email, Facebook or Google+ account (sign up and sign in with Google+ is only available on Android and the website). No matter which option you choose, remember that you have to use the same sign in method on the website and in the app for your data to sync between the platforms.
Once you have signed up, you will be taken directly to the workout screen. On the workout screen you can make various changes:
iPhone you get to it by going to History > Workout > Select the workout in question.
Android you get to it by going to History > Workout > Select the workout in question.
After you press the red stop button on the workout screen, the social content screen will appear. This screen allows you to tag your Endomondo friends in the workout, add photos that you've taken during the workout, add a comment to the workout and choose whether or not you want to share the workout on Facebook or any other of the social sharing platforms you have installed on your device.
The app will automatically suggest Endomondo friends to tag, if they were tracking on the same route and at the same time as you. The friends you tagged last will also be suggested.
You can also access the workout summary screen later on, if you want to add more comments/photos/friends to the workout.
Please note that if you have Facebook on by default (Settings > Facebook), you won't be able to turn Facebook sharing off on the Social Content Screen.
Read this guide for more information about sharing on Facebook.
The Endomondo application has a function that allows for the screen to remain on while you're tracking with the Endomondo application.
To turn on this functionality go to the Workout Settings (Gear Icon in the top right corner of the tracker screen). Select the 'Keep Screen On' functionality.
Be aware that if the display light is turned on all the time, the battery will be used much faster.
On most phones you can press the On/Off button after you have started your workout. The screen will turn off and Endomondo will keep tracking. This will save battery while tracking.
If you are doing a sport such as swimming, where you can't carry your phone, or weight training, where it doesn't really make sense to use GPS tracking, you can add your workout manually.
To manually add a workout on the website, tap "New Workout" in the green menu bar. That will bring up five options, of which the first three are relevant to you.
To add a workout manually you need to go to "History". On iPhone you'll see a green button at the top of the list saying "Enter New Workout". On Android you'll see this icon: in the upper right hand corner of the screen (more recent App updates will show it on the bottom right hand corner with "+" sign).
