The interval training feature is available for PRO and Premium users on Android and iPhone, and it can be accessed from the 'Workout Settings' menu.
On the interval training screen, you can choose between pre-made interval programs (Standard, Pyramid and High Intensity programs) or create your own interval program with time & distance intervals.
Please note that interval training is only available on mobile. You'll not be able to view or edit your interval programs on the website.
In order to create a new interval program, tap the "+" symbol in the lower right corner of the screen.
On this screen, you have the option to name your program and give it a description. To create the program, you have these options:
(1)To add another interval, select the Intensity plus duration/distance and tap the "New" Button.
(2)To remove an interval, tap the "Remove" Button (this will remove the selected interval).
(3)To select a different interval, slide the drop-shaped figure along the line.
To edit the current interval, simply select a new intensity plus duration/distance while the interval is selected.
Once you're done creating the program, tap the top right button to save the program. This will allow you to add a title and Description before saving the interval.
In order to activate any of the interval programs, tap the program in the list of available programs, as seen in the top image above. That will take you to an overview of the current program, where you'll see a big green button that says "use program". Once you hit that, you'll be taken back to the workout screen, where you just need to tap the "start" or "countdown" button to initiate the program.
- If the interval is shorter than 100m (0,1mile) or 30s: There is no additional Audio Coach feedback
- If the interval is between 100m-1km (0,1-1mile) or 30s-5min: You will get feedback on the remaining distance or duration and split pace during the interval. Example: When you have a 600m interval, you will hear the Audio Coach every 200m telling you the remaining distance and the split pace.
- If the interval is longer than 1km (1mile) or 5min: The standard Audio Coach settings will apply. If your planned workout includes such interval, make sure you access your Audio Coach settings and pick what feedback you would like to hear. Example: If it’s a duration based 10min interval, you can customize your Audio Coach settings to hear your lap pace and heart-rate every minute (or any other option available).
Please note that these rules only apply on iPhone and Android. On other platforms you will get the normal audio coach feedback.
In order to edit a program, just tap the program you want to edit in the overview of available programs. On the overview screen, tap the pen icon or the word "Edit" in the upper right hand corner. That will take you to the "create program" screen, where you'll have the option to edit the program as described here
Please note that you can only edit the programs that you've created yourself.
|In order to delete a program, while on the interval selection screen simply swipe with your finger from right to left over the interval you would like to delete. After the Workout has been deleted the user will have a short time where it is possible to Undo the deletion.|
