Let's set new records!
Working out can be hard. With the new Endomondo Personal Records (PRs), your effort and progress will be celebrated appropriately. We have created new speed records across different sports – whether you're into running, cycling, swimming, or have another favorite activity. You can set personal records for distances like 5K, 10K, a marathon, or your best 12-minute test.
We know those all-time records can be hard to beat and that's why we've added monthly and yearly bests too. These will give you an insight into your current performance, also if you're recovering from an injury or e.g. trying to get back on track with running. To provide you with real insights, we need a baseline, which is why you have to beat another workout to achieve a best for the month or year.
When you finish your workout, your new achievement will be celebrated with a pop-over, get stamped on your workout summary, and made visible to your friends for them to give you kudos. When you beat a previous record, we'll highlight exactly how much you've improved so that you and your friends can follow how much you've pushed yourself.
Tip: If by accident you select the wrong sports type when trying to beat a PR, don't fret! You can easily change the sports type directly from the workout summary. We'll recalculate your PRs as soon as you've updated the sport. As another helping hand, we check all of your records against the current world records. This will minimize the risk of setting wrong PRs because of a GPS issue.
